Dustin and I took a trip to Vegas for our 3 year Anniversary....then a couple days later our really good friends came up and hung with us for a couple of day...we had a blast...they actually had there 2nd Anniversary on Aug 26...day before ours....so we are just a year ahead of them....Great Couple!

Wild Water West

I ended up taking Charlie to Wile Water West on Sunday since we were unable to go on his birthday. So we met my brother and his family there and swam for a few hours. He had a blast!

My Sweet Boy!!

We went and got his 2 year pictures taken last night...he did so good...it took him a little while to get warmed up to the photographer, but after about 20 minutes he did...he was very curious though, so he just kept shooting and shooting pictures...they turned out great I think. We get to go in tomorrow to look at all of them and pick and choose which is the tough part.

Happy Birthday Charlie!!

Charlie Turned 2 on Saturday. We had such a great time. Our original plan was to go to Wild Water West, but the weather was not cooperative at all...so we had to do a change of plans and ended up going to Pizza Ranch instead. He still had a great time running around with all his little friends. He got so many great gifts.....I told Dustin we are going to have to build a new house just hold all the toys...joking of course!!!
I do have some great pictures but unfortunatly my camera is at home and our internet is down right now at home also but hoping it will be fixed by tomorrow so i can get some pictures uploaded for you.
We did end up going to Wild Water West on Sunday though with my brother and his family. The weather was beautiful. So we hung out there with them for a few hours went swimming and took charlie on the go carts...he didnt really know what to think of that...but he had a lot of fun. he was so exhausted he went to bed at 8 that night.

Swimming Lessons....

Charlie started swimming lessons last night. All three of went and had so much fun. He just loves the water. He learned how to blow bubbles and thinks it is so funny. He learned how to float on his belly and kick his legs in the water. He learned so many fun things, like some new fun songs etc... We have them all week through friday. So it should be alot of fun. As soon as I get my pics I will post some.

We had 2 birthday parties, one for Henry, Charlies cousin who turned "1" and another for a good friend of ours!! We had a busy day, but it was beautiful!! Charlie had a great time playing with his cousins!!

Charlie's First Fish!!

The boys and I went to Kovel Lake in Sioux Falls last night fishing. Charlie caught his first fish, 6 inch perch. He was so excited. I know you can barely see it in the picture, but it is there, its pretty small but perfect for Charlie. It started raining when we got there and all set up but we still sat there in the rain and let Charlie fish. We had a blast together as a family. He was just amazed when daddy would reel it in and there would be a fish on the other end. He caught 2 fish total and each time he was just in amazement...PRICELESS!!!!

Welcome Home Flora!!

Last Saturday Steph and Dave arrived back from Guatamala with there new little girl Flora. She is so precious and full of smiles. A bunch of us met them at the airport when they arrived to welcome Flora home. This is Steph and Daves second child they have adopted from Guatamala.

While we were just hanging out and visiting at the airport Charlie loved to go up and down on the airport escilators. He kept saying MORE MORE...so my sister n law Diane and I kept taking turns, because her kids loved to go on it also. In the picture you will see Diane, Charlie and Cousin Trey on one of the numerous trips up and down.

Highlights....

I am proud to say that I have lost 4lbs so far since I have started my diet 6 days ago. It really works. I also started working out the same time I started the diet and have been going everyday so far except for sunday that was my day off. But it has really been making me feel good about myself. It really does help to have someone to go with otherwise I dont think I would be making it everyday. My friend Jen is a huge help, we help each other. I mainly just walk on the treadmill for half hour and then some nights I will take charlie for a bike ride. Now that is it starting to get nice out, we love to go on the bike rides. Starting in June my friend Jen is going to be moving to sioux falls, and we are going to meet everynight at a specific spot and ride bike. Now she lives about 20 minutes out of sioux falls, so it is sorta hard to meet now. But cant wait for that. Anyways some of you asked for highlights so here it is so far!!!

Getting Ready for the Summer.....

I have officially joined a Fitness Gym today. I am so excited. I have this friend at work who is in our Dietary area and her and I are going to work out every lunch hour. We are mainly just going to work on cardio, mainly just running. If its really nice outside we will run outside, otherwise go to the gym. At least it is something. Plus I will start feeling better about myself. She also gave me this really healthy diet to use, she is going to do it with me and help me with it :) It is great to have someone to work out with and that has the same motivation as you do. She is going to be a great help. If anyone is interested here is the diet I am starting.

For the first 3 days ONLY...

2 eggs in the morning (how ever you want them is fine)

1 orange....half in the AM and half in the PM

Protein...I am doing a pound of hamb and making that into 4 patties and eating it throughout the day. More the protein the better, it builds up your matabalism.

Green Veggies....sandwich bag of raw green veggies, such as brocolli, cucumbers, lettuce....

2 TBSP of Lite Ranch Dressing...T Martinzi recommended per day

1/4 morton lite salt per day

80 oz a water a day

By doing this you should lose a pound a day..make sure to weigh yourself every morning so you are able to keep track.

After the 3 Day Diet...move to eating...

2 proteins a day

2 starches a day

4 veggies a day

2 fruits a day

4 oz of skim milk a day

2 fats a day

2 supplements a day

80 oz of water a day,

you may add the crystal lite packets to the water to make it flavored if you like..also the South Beach Living on the go mini packets

With this they are saying you should lose up to 3 lbs a week.

So give it a try if you want....I am excited to do it and exercise. I got my goals set for the summer so I am really hope to meet them...wish me luck...

I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing. When two people try to lead, nothing feels right. The movement doesn't flow with the music, and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky. When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead, both bodies begin to flow with the music. One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back or by pressing Lightly in one directio n or another. It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully. The dance takes surrender, willingness, and attentiveness from one person and gentle guidance and skill from the other. My eyes drew back to the word Guidance . When I saw 'G': I thought of God, followed by 'u' and 'i'. 'God, 'u' and 'i' dance' God, you, and I dance. As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust that I would get guidance about my life. Once again, I became willing to let God lead. My prayer for you today is that God's blessings and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday. M ay you abide in God, as God abides in you. Dance together with God, trusting God to lead and to guide you through each season of your life.

Mother Daughter Tea!!!

This weekend Charlie and I went to Watertown. Saturday morning my mom and I had a Mother Daughter Tea at our Church and my cousin Kristi spoke about caring on our Godly Family Heritage. It was very inspirational. Afterwards we visited for a while. I got to see people that I dont get to see all that often so that was very nice. Then mom and I left to go back to there house where Grandpa Dennis was babysitting Charlie. They were playing outside...playing fetch with the dog and playing on his little john deer skooter. He was having so much fun. Then we went and played inside for a while and took a nap. Then later went over to visit my brother and his family. Charlie got to play with his two little cousins. They just adore him so much and loves it when he comes to play with them. Then finally we headed back to Sioux falls around 7:30. I had a great time, even though it was short and sweet, at least I got to see the family.

Sorry to say I didnt take any pictures this weekend, I had forgotten my camera, so thats a bummer, sorry about that.

Softball Practice!

Softball is starting already. Dustin has been practicing with the team and Charlie and I love to go and watch. Charlie loves to watch his daddy, he wants to go out and play with him so much, but i have to keep telling him when he gets bigger he can play with daddy out there. He just stands and watches him and points. There first game is next Tuesday and Charlie is getting a jersey to match all the boy's ones. He is going to be so cute, he is there future "Bat Boy" He is going to be so cute out there.

Wedding Fun!!

One of my really good friends got married a couple weeks ago and was honered to be a part of it. Her and her husband went to St Lucia and got married and came back and had the reception here in sioux falls. We had a great time!!

Funny Friday!!

This post is dedicated to my sister n law Stephanie and her family. They have been in the proceess of adopting there second child from Guatamala. The second child has not been as easy and the first child. But today she recieved an email telling them Congratulations they made it out of PGN (which it the biggest and final step of the process). Now they will have to wait for approximatly 4-6 more week till they get her, but would like to ask that you all keep them in your prayers and that everything goes smoothly and that they get to see there sweet little angel Flora very soon!! Congratulations Stephanie and Dave we love you!!!
